This video report will guide you through our tester’s experience with non-US-friendly ThorCasino. This place presents itself as a platform that enables players to deposit with ease, and withdraw fast, among everything. Registration process went with no issues at all, but one couldn’t say the same for a deposit, as our tester was charged a fee. What was the rest of her journey like? Let’s take a look at each step of the ThorCasino testing procedure and find out!
Registration and KYC
On April 24, 2023, our tester completed a simple sign-up form, entered some basic personal info, and joined ThorCasino.
Having done that, she submitted the front and back side of her ID, along with a selfie with the ID. An e-mail from the casino arrived, letting the teste know that her account was verified.
Despite the fact that the banner on the main page says that this platform is “crypto-friendly- no KYC”, the tester needed to verify her identity. According to the Terms, the ID verification process is needed for withdrawals exceeding the equivalent of 200,00€ or for withdrawals of funds not used for wagering. The documents a player needs to send include a copy of any identification document and a copy of any utility bill.
Deposit
Following the registration, the tester decided to deposit USD 200 via Bitcoin. Expressed in Bitcoin, the amount was 0.00731722 BTC. She was charged a network fee of 0.00001722 BTC, so the sum which appeared on her balance was USD 199.32.
To deposit, players can use credit cards, e-wallets, vouchers, virtual cards, online bank transfers, or cryptocurrencies. As noted, the processing time is instant or up to 2 working days. The minimum amount to deposit is EUR 20, or the equivalent amount in other currencies. Numerous fiat and cryptocurrencies are supported.
When it comes to fees, the rules are slightly contradictory. Though the “Payment methods” page says that no fees are applied to any of the available methods, the Terms say that “depending on the method selected, deposits may incur charges”.
Gameplay
Area Link Phoenix was the first game the tester played. She triggered a couple of winnings, of which the highest one amounted to $88.25. After this, she played Book of Lucky Jack: Baba Yaga’s Tales, Buffalo Sunset, and then returned to Area Link Phoenix.
Withdrawal
On the same day, our tester requested to withdraw $120, also in BTC. An e-mail from the casino arrived, informing her that her request had been received.
A day later, on April 25, an e-mail arrived to inform her that the request was processed. She received 0.00434918 BTC.
To withdraw, a player can use more or less the same selection of methods as the one available for deposits, except for vouchers and some e-wallets. A deposit needs to be wagered at least 5 times.
If requesting a cashout via e-wallets, bank transfers, and credit cards, the minimum amount is EUR 30, while crypto withdrawals range from EUR 50 to EUR 100. The processing time ranges between 24 hours and up to 2 working days.
The maximum amount to withdraw is EUR 2.500 per week and EUR 5.000 per calendar month or the equivalent amount in the selected currency. This rule doesn’t apply to Jackpot winnings.
Cashouts via cryptocurrencies incur a network fee, while other methods are processed without any additional charges. In case a deposit is not turned over, a fee of 20% may be applied.
Conclusion
Paying attention to the “Payment Methods” page, and the Terms, a player shall notice certain inconsistencies with rules on fees. Plus, despite the fact that the platform describes itself as an online casino that doesn’t require KYC, our tester needed to verify her identity to be able to withdraw the funds.
