Well, there's the "Spiritual" thinking..

But I look at what has happened here. Advice angels, reaching out to help angels and hugging angels also Prayer angels.

Can there really be any doubt??

Lips.. Oh yes i beleive.. Angels.. Miracles..

I was very young when i had my daughter, struggled tremendously..
So much i didn't know, so much guidance needed, barely the support
of her father.. you can't imagine raising a child so young, needing work
at such a young age, no experience, etc with it all, well.. there were times of no food, no lights, no gas, one or all of the utilities were absent.

One time all i had was some flour, baking soda, a little sugar, borrowed some shortening and baking powder, i was embarresed and ashamed i borrowed enough from the neighbors, so deciding to make some tortillas.. its all i could do with it, and i knew tortillas were filling for me and her..
Put it all together and made the dough, both of us were kneading and rolling
the dough into.. "map" looking totillas, cooking them all along smiling and enjoying the little we had to eat, as we were making them i said out loud
"I wish we had a rolling pin, that would help".. if you ever made tortillas they arent easy looool, my daughter replied, "yea mommy i wish we had one too" both exhausted from trying to roll out and flatten this dough..
After we made some and filled our stomaches, i cleaned up the mess, wash the utensils, grabbed the trash and went to the dumbster..
As i lifted the bag, to my eyes and to surprise was a brand new rolling pin
sitting right there on top of the dumpster rim..
Now tell me ANYONE how many times have you seen a rolling pin in the dumpster new or old? Tis was a one in a million coincidence.. No..
Right there my thoughts were it had to of been an Angel.. One looking down on us... along with some many other personal thoughts.
My daughter even at her young age realizing what happened was speechless and understanding of what came before us.
It taught me if you work hard enough, stay humble you will get what you need to always make it, and from that day forth alot of good fortune came our way it was the last time we were without.

If I remember my Sunday School correctly, "angel" simply means "heavenly messanger."  So, anyone can fill that role without being some ultra mystical thing.  The woman who bakes a pie and gives to a grieving family is an angel.  The one who gives Christmas presents to the needy is an angel.  The one who shoveled snow off the elderly man's drive-way is an angel.  So, we can ALL be angel and ALL be blessed by them.

well it was 1 christmas i almost lost my daughter for the 2nd time in her life. she had blood poisoning in her arm. we had a massive snow stormand  you could not get a abulance . and i was at the hospital with her they said every thing was backed up by hrs.but in order to saved her life she had to be transfer to anoth hosptial, and no abulancs availible so her boyfriend and me enden up driving her in my car IV bottle and all , her body was swelled her coat was half on cause of the swelling. we stopped on the way cause her iv started coming loose. my car heater was not working, everthing was against us, i took my coat off and put it on the front of her. she said mon you need your coat its freezing, but as i held the coat on the front of her i wasnt feeling the cold. her and i spent christmasin icu.after several days she was out of the ds and made it. she ended up losing her thumb all from a splinter, with all we had against us that nite we had to have a angel with us, ty josie46

hey 13...is that your boyfriend??  almost looks like you guys could be related!!  lol, maybe it's just the hair and matching outfits!!!   

oh....and as for Angels....sorry Lips, you know I don't believe!! 

The problem with the "gaurdian angel" concept to me is obvious.  We hear the warm and fuzzy stories of people who were saved/protected/guided by THEIR angel.  But, we don't want to focus on the stories of millions of people who die horrible deaths who, obviously, were not protected by their angel.  Where were the gaurdian angels at Columbine?  Virginia Tech?  The child who dies every 7 seconds from starvation? 

So, yes, I believe in angels as kind Godly doers of grace, but certainly not special-mystical-personalized beings. 

Doc, One thing.. their suffering and their dieing, shows US that there are angels, ask yourself why are we, you or I are not in their place?

Well...bottom line I guess is that God does what God wants!

hey imagine....[sorry I have to agree with Doc. 100%] how does that show US that there are angels??  why not me or you...you never know it COULD be me or you..one day...and if not me or you..why them?? Are angels or God just selective people who help those who don't really need it and the ones who are truley suffering..well just shit on them?? I know alot of situations where people have claimed to have a gaurdian angel...or God has given them strenght to get through a gard time...umm  God why save your strenght giving and give some food to starving kids??...Nah I don't buy into any off it, and NO OFFENSE to anyone who does...I just think that if all people are supposed to be equal and if there were a God, he would treat all people equal instead of just people in geographically desired areas!!

I always ask, why am i here and living well..i could be there..
I beleive i am Blessed in some way to not be suffering as others are.
Though through life i do help others that need more then me, and give my last of last to a homeless or hungry person, now i could be a greedy one
and say.. screw them, it's their own fault! Ive seen people who do just that. But i'm not and i Thank God for that. Maybe that is the reason, that
we are here and do well and not suffer as hard as them, to help those that cannot.

Imagination...does that mean I should be thankful someone else suffered or died INSTEAD of me???

believe i know we played angels among us at my moms and my sisters funeral i love that song.  A few months back my 15 year old son got vionent withme his biological cousin started him on heroin i had my own son arrested.  I cried so hard and then tried to take my own life very slowly with a dull knife i wanted the pain, i wanted my family back, my grandmother who had been dead for 20 years had a favorite song by hank snow cant remember the name now but as i went to make that last cut it came on the radio, i realized what i was doing and quit and the next thing i knew my husband came home 2 hours early.  That night as i slept my mom was there, my dad was there, my sister was there and some i dont know and they said it will be okay hold tough and as my dad said man up, he had all girls.  I woke up the next morning and felt better and then was told the state was going to place my son in a nearby program where he could get help.  My daughter came home from school and said mom last night i could have swore i could hear aunt shelly laughing and it scared me.  Angels yes they protect us when we are weak, they hang over us when we sleep and they answer our prayers in ways god cant or whoever you believe in.

hi ty all, like the song says what ever will be , the future not ours to see, and thats the truth. 2 days ago i live in mo.it was on the news about a 10 month old pittbull dog. she woke the family up when their housewas on fire, well the mother and 3 kids got out, sadly the dog never, WHY? dont know,. sometimes theres not a happy ending mon went in after dog and the heat was to intence, she said without the dog they all would have died.i hope you all have happy endings, and MERRY CHRISTMAS , some things will never know, josie46

Please tell me your thoughts on how the deaths of 10,000 children from hunger (today alone..and everyday)  "help pave the way?"  Where is their angel?

Hi lips! Great topic! I want to beleive so badly lol. I have had experiences that have made me wonder. I have come to the realization that I just don't know and I'm comfortable with that.

Lips.......I have to agree on this point - we don't know all things!  Though, I don't see the purpose in people dying is so that we might be taught something.  Is the God of the universe a sadistic school teacher who has to kill people so we learn our lessons?

I just believe a lot of things happen and we simply have no idea why.  If attributing those occurances to "angels" makes some people happy, warm and fuzzy, then it is ALL GOOD!

god said suffer the little children myself i find myself doing more for the children and to heck with the adults.  Noone can conntrol what goes on in time but let me tell you if thier wasnt angels why do we send them food or teach them how to plant crops, its man who causes suffering and man who will end it

i have seen an angel - almost face to face - i was in my room when something made me get out from my bed and go to the window...and there the angel was hovering and looking at me - clothed in garments yet pearl white glowing and shimmering in the darkness from wings and head to toe - yet all the details could be seen - the face, eyes, eyebrows, nose, mouth, hair and garments that covered his body...everything...right down to its shoes or boots which had these laces/straps that wrapped around up his legs almost to his knees...when first i saw the angel I freaked and jumped to my bed hiding under the covers...but then after i thought i was just seeing things...so I went back...and the angel was still there in all its glorious beauty...I just kept staring at him...and then he disappeared perhaps once he knew i was at peace...and i really felt an overwhelming peace...it was amazing!!!

just to get a little deeper...after that night...i began to get these revelations...and perhaps deeper in wanting to know more about God...i will share just a tad (last thing i want is to cause an uproar)...

that night...i asked myself...why would an angel come to me?

then i thought about God...and then i asked God a profound question...I asked God, "How are You doing? Are You ok?"...I felt God cry...it was a sensation that I can't explain...but in my heart I knew God was crying...

and with that these revelations just poured into me...I will share one of them..the one that standing out right now as I'm typing this...

imagine if you were God...and the ones you love so dearly...have created this image of you or this understanding of you and yet created them without knowing who you really are; and so they make you out to be this and that - meanwhile you're not that this nor that that. And as time goes on...and people fight over themselves as to who you are...and now growing even further and further from the truth...how would that make you feel?? I AM who I AM...not the I AM you make me out to be..I AM who I AM...please know me then for who I AM...know God for who He is...and be honest with yourself...don't know Him from what you read or hear from others especially when they too think they know Him because of what they have read or heard from others...know Him by and from no one else but Him alone.

Yes!! I absolutely believe they are!! If it weren't for angels watching over me for years, I wouldn't be alive today. If you don't believe in the power of Angels or if they are real--read Sylvia Browne's "Book of Angels"!
