...of the screaming and shouting from my neighbours.
It's driving me up the wall.
The kid screams all day until about 9pm when s/he goes to bed. It is constant and ear piercing and is driving me totally mad. The boyfriend/husband shouts most of the time and storms out the front door, banging it as he goes, when he throws one of his childish temper tantrums.
They both shout out of the window at their friends, spit out of the window, bang and drill all the time. It drives me out of the house to get some peace and quiet.
Do you have noisy neighbours or have you had noisy neighbours in the past and how did you deal with it?

Dete vrišti ceo dan do oko 21 sat kada ode u krevet. Stalno je i pirsing u ušima i potpuno me izluđuje. Dečko/muž viče većinu vremena i izjuri na ulazna vrata, lupajući njima dok ide, kada baci jedan od svojih detinjastih bijesa.
Obojica viču kroz prozor na drugare, pljuju kroz prozor, lupaju i buše sve vreme. To me tera iz kuće da dobijem mir i tišinu.
Da li imate bučne komšije ili ste imali bučne komšije u prošlosti i kako ste se nosili sa tim?

I'm from a big noisy family myself. And I've always lived next to noisy neighbors. So I guess I'm kinda used to it. But I do understand how it could be annoying to other people.
Have you tried just going there and talking to them about it? If they are cool neighbors, they'll understand and make an effort to tone it down...and go from there. If the racket continues, talk to the other surrounding neighbors , and get them involved. Lastly, if nothing else seems to have an effect on the decibels, notify the local authorities and file a noise complaint.lmao

I ja sam iz velike bučne porodice. I uvek sam živeo pored bučnih komšija. Tako da sam se nekako navikao. Ali razumem kako bi to moglo da nervira druge ljude.
Da li ste pokušali da odete tamo i razgovarate sa njima o tome? Ako su kul komšije, razumeće i potrudiće se da to ublaže...i krenuće odatle. Ako se reket nastavi, razgovarajte sa ostalim okolnim susedima i uključite ih. Na kraju, ako se čini da ništa drugo ne utiče na decibele, obavestite lokalne vlasti i podnesite žalbu na buku. -

My kids cry and scream all day, until they go to bed around 9pm

There is no way on this planet I would approach him/them. He is a total ahole. I overheard his mob. convo. a while ago (one of his stage whispers) - he said "Yeah I got "aht" in March" (got out in March - generally referring to getting out of prison). So that's not an option.
He is renting off the owner and I have no idea who that is as they never moved in.
blueNe postoji način na ovoj planeti da mu/im priđem. On je totalna rupa. Čuo sam njegovu rulju. convo. pre nekog vremena (jedan od njegovih scenskih šapata) - rekao je "Da, dobio sam "aht" u martu" (izišao sam u martu - generalno misleći na izlazak iz zatvora). Dakle, to nije opcija.
Iznajmljuje vlasnika, a ja nemam pojma ko je to jer se nikad nisu uselili.

But my neighbors like to compete...gardening. When I put new plants and flowers, they all do too ha ha. I put new lights out side my garden, all of sudden the whole street is filled with solar lights.

Moje komšije su prilično stare i tihe...izgleda da smo jedina porodica koja ima malo dete, a ako i imaju, nikad ih još nismo videli...:)
Ali moje komšije vole da se takmiče... baštovanstvo. Kad stavim nove biljke i cveće, i sve to rade ha ha. Stavio sam nova svetla ispred moje bašte, odjednom cela ulica je ispunjena solarnim svetlima.
Ali kuća pored nas uvek pravi žurke svakog vikenda i to me ponekad izluđuje...taco kamion je uvek parkiran ispred moje kuće i njihovi gosti bacaju smeće u moje dvorište...deca kucaju na moja vrata iz zabave. ..samo recite! Tako da znam na šta misliš, Plavi... -

I know this has to be very stressful. It is one thing to be loud and another to be combative if approached. I have a neighbor who likes to crush cans to be recycled for cash.
Literally from the crack of dawn til at least 10 - 11 pm every weekend this woman is crushing cans in her backyard. You would think it wouldn't be that loud or annoying but it is like a leaky faucet that drips all day. Even with the air conditioner on and windows shut you can hear her.
I have never said anything to her about it. It is tough because they have always been nice neighbors.
Do they have a landlord that maybe you could complain to?

Bukvalno od rane zore do najmanje 22 do 23 sata svakog vikenda ova žena drobi konzerve u svom dvorištu. Pomislili biste da ne bi bilo tako glasno ili dosadno, ali to je kao slavina koja curi po ceo dan. Čak i sa uključenim klima uređajem i zatvorenim prozorima možete je čuti.
Nikad joj nisam ništa rekao o tome. Teško je jer su uvek bili fini komšije.
Da li imaju stanodavca kome biste se možda mogli žaliti?

I totally understand about the can crushing Lips. It must drive you crazy and yet it's prob not a very loud noise. It's just the constant same noise that gets you.
As for reporting them to the landlord, the owner I know is a woman but that's it. She has never lived there and nobody knows her name.
I just have to hope they move on and soon.

Potpuno razumem da limenka drobi usne. Mora da vas izluđuje, a ipak je verovatno da nije jako glasna buka. To je samo konstantna ista buka koja te izaziva.
Što se tiče prijave stanodavcu, vlasnica koju znam je žena, ali to je to. Ona tamo nikada nije živela i niko ne zna kako se zove.
Samo se nadam da će krenuti dalje i to uskoro.

Since I was in Mortgage banking/ RE for 20 some yrs a tool that is free to use on the internet is zillow.com you can type in ANYONES address and find out many things, who owns the property, if it for sale, have they pd their taxes, etc. I do not know if you can access this site for the UK but I am sure they have a version of it there. Good Luck but i do suggest if things get to bad call the police for disturbing the peace but anonymously.

I thought I would update this thread and I'm amazed that it was almost a year ago that I posted this.
They are still there. He still shouts and screams at the kids and the woman but add to the mix loud music with the base turned up, banging, sanding. and drilling and it will give you some idea of how things are now. Still not good - somehow I'm more tolerant of it though.
I need a break!
blueMislio sam da ažuriram ovu temu i zapanjen sam što sam ovo objavio pre skoro godinu dana.
I dalje su tu. On i dalje viče i vrišti na decu i ženu, ali u mešavinu dodaje glasnu muziku sa podignutom bazom, lupanje, brušenje. i bušenje i to će vam dati neku ideju o tome kako stvari sada stoje. I dalje nije dobro - ipak sam nekako tolerantniji prema tome.
Treba mi pauza!

I was thinking of suggesting that but......yikes... I can only imagine if he found out it was blue or even suspected it.
I'm really sorry you are dealing with this crap, blue. I have some great neighbors but a couple who are real doozies. They don't do anything to me so it's easy to put them on 'ignore'.
I don't know if there is really anything you can do. He sounds like a time bomb who could use some anger management.

Stvarno mi je žao što imaš posla sa ovim sranjem, plavi. Imam neke sjajne komšije, ali par koji su pravi ludaci. Ne rade mi ništa pa ih je lako staviti na 'ignorisanje'.
Ne znam da li zaista možete nešto da uradite. Zvuči kao tempirana bomba kojoj bi dobro došlo upravljanje besom.

I don't think it would help tbh Johnny. I believe it would only make things 10 times worse. That said, I will be knocking on the door at some point to ask for a little bit of peace and quiet when its late at night.

OMG, mislio sam da ćeš se do sada otarasiti rupe...kao nazad u zatvoru,zatvori ludačku kolibu kako god.Mogu samo da zamislim kakvo će to dete da odraste..(neki ljudi ne bi trebalo da budu roditelji ) verovatno kopija bez njihove krivice. Žao mi je što još uvek prolazite kroz ovo plavo :( sigurno može da baci ceo komšiluk u funk.

Thanks Rosebud. I have actually spoken to him and he seems a pleasant enough guy "to the outside world". But as one who knows that men can change when "behind closed doors", it doesn't fool me. This guy clearly has anger management issues and if he sorted those out, I'm sure he would be a great person to know, but until then....
