    When you are the cook, it's alot of dang work.. seriously, but every year my family says.. you cook and that will be our gift, meaning i don't have to shop for them.. nevertheless i cook and get gifts anyway.. i do the cooking because i really love how they enjoy the food thats been cooked and every year their mouth waters for it...

    a yummy dessert i found a long time ago.. i was very young was from a neighbor who brought over this delicious bread every year... well i got the recipe, it's easy and fun to make, it's also great for gifts... AND best thing about this is.. NO PAN TO WASH!!!

    Coffee Can Pumpkin Bread
    Ingredients
    2 cups of cooked prepared pumpkin
    or 1 large can pumpkin, drained
    3 cups Sugar
    1 cup canola or rapeseed
    or extra light virgin olive oil
    3 eggs
    3 cups flour
    1 cup raisins
    1 cup chopped nuts
    1 tsp each of
    cloves
    allspice
    salt
    baking powder
    baking soda
    2 tsp cinnamon

    Grease and flour three coffee cans

    In a large bowl, mix sugar and oil and add eggs one at a time. Set this mixture aside.
    Sift flour and all spices together.
    Add flour mixture and pumpkin alternately to the sugar/oil mixture. Mix just enough to moisten all the dry ingredients; It's better if you don't overbeat. Lastly, add raisins and nuts. You can omit the nuts if wanted.

    a 2nd recipe is this one... a little easier, but different in taste (without raisins)

    • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
    • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
    • 4 eggs
    • 1 (16 oz) can pumpkin
    • 1 cup oil
    • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
    • 4 teaspoons cinnamon
    • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
    • 2 teaspoons nutmeg
    • 1/4 teaspoon mace
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
    • 2 teaspoons baking soda
    • 2/3 cup water
    • 3 1/2 cups flour

    2nd recipe..Mix all ingredients in large bowl until well blended, divide the batter between 4 cans, cover loosely with foil..
    Both recipes.. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 to 70 minutes, usually if you touch down on the top and it springs back it's done
    Cool for 10 minutes before loosening from cans or pans.. use can opener to open other end of can pushing can lid inward towards content of can to remove baked bread.. and wella!

    Hleb od bundeve u konzervi za kafu
    Sastojci
    2 šolje kuvane pripremljene bundeve
    ili 1 velika konzerva bundeve, oceđena
    3 šolje šećera
    1 šolja repice ili uljane repice
    ili ekstra laganog devičanskog maslinovog ulja
    3 jaja
    3 šolje brašna
    1 šolja suvog grožđa
    1 šolja seckanih oraha
    1 kašičica svake od
    karanfilić
    aleva paprika
    so
    prašak za pecivo
    prašak za pecivo
    2 kašičice cimeta

    Tri konzerve za kafu namastite i pobrašnite

    U velikoj činiji pomešajte šećer i ulje i dodajte jedno po jedno jaje. Ostavite ovu mešavinu na stranu.
    Prosejte brašno i sve začine zajedno.
    Dodajte mešavinu brašna i bundevu naizmenično u mešavinu šećera/ulja. Mešajte tek toliko da navlažite sve suve sastojke; Bolje je ako ne preterujete. Na kraju dodajte suvo grožđe i orahe. Možete izostaviti orahe ako želite.

    • 1 1/2 šolje smeđeg šećera

    • 1/2 kašičice karanfilića
    • 4 kašičice cimeta

    • 2 kašičice muškatnog oraščića
    • 1/4 kašičice buzdovan
    • 1 1/2 kašičice soli
    • 2 kašičice sode bikarbone
    • 2/3 šolje vode
    • 3 1/2 šolje brašna

    2. recept..U velikoj posudi izmešati sve sastojke dok se dobro ne sjedine, podeliti testo u 4 konzerve, lagano pokriti folijom..
    Oba recepta.. Pecite na 350 stepeni 60 do 70 minuta, obično ako dodirnete gornji deo i on se vrati, gotovo je

Every year i go through this, the worry about the turkey being defrosted in time and if I'm doing all the right things, Turkey is tempermental and delicate beleive it or not. He's got to be thawed right and cooked right.  Here's some information that will help you have a Safe and Happy Turkey day!

    Thawing and Cooking Information

    Refrigerator Thawing

    According to the USDA and many poultry suppliers, placing a frozen turkey in the refrigerator is the only reliable and safe method for thawing and it is the only method of thawing that is recommended. The turkey should be kept in its original wrapper during the thawing process and it should be placed on a platter to catch any juices that may leak from the package to avoid possible contamination to other food in the refrigerator. Thawing the bird in the refrigerator may require several days, especially if the turkey is a large size, but it is absolutely the safest method for thawing. The cool temperature of the refrigerator (usually no higher than 40°F) discourages the growth of harmful organisms in the turkey as it thaws. An approximate 24 hours for every 5 pounds should be allowed to properly thaw the turkey. The required time may vary because of the individual temperature settings of different refrigerators.

    Cold Water Thawing (Not Recommended)

    Thawing a frozen turkey in cold water is another defrosting method that has been used for years, but with increased awareness of illness due to bacterial growth, it is generally not recommended by the USDA or most of the poultry suppliers. There is a high probability that bacteria may rapidly multiply in thawed areas near the surface of the bird while the interior may still be frozen.

    If you absolutely must thaw the turkey with cold water, there are a few steps that can be taken to make it as safe as possible:

    As with thawing in the refrigerator, the bird should be kept in its original wrapper. If the original wrapper has any compromises, punctures or tears in it, the turkey should be placed in another plastic bag and sealed to limit contact with the air and water. The turkey should be placed breast side down and it should be completely covered with water. The water should be changed every 20 to 30 minutes. Cold water thawing is much faster than thawing in the refrigerator (usually 8 to 10 times faster), but it can be annoying having to change the water every 30 minutes, especially when thawing a large turkey. At least 30 minutes defrosting time per pound should be allowed when using the cold water method. Once the turkey is thawed, it should be cooked immediately.

    Microwave Thawing (Unsafe)

    Some people have used a microwave oven for thawing meat and while this method may be risky for thawing red meat, it is downright unsafe for thawing poultry. While waiting for the bird to fully defrost, bacteria will grow quickly in areas where the turkey is already defrosted. Do NOT do this!

    Anticipated Cooking Times

    How long does it take to cook? Be sure to use a meat thermometer to check for doneness as is indicated in the Internal Temperature column below. This is only a guide so that you know approximately how long it will take to cook the turkey. ALWAYS use a meat thermometer for safety! Cooking time will vary by different ovens and whether or not the turkey is stuffed. Remember to leave time for the turkey to stand before carving. It is suggested that browning takes the last 15 to 45 minutes of cooking time, depending on the size of the turkey and the type of oven. Make sure that the internal temperature has been reached before browning.

    Never stuff turkey ahead of time and refridgerate, raw turkey will allow bacteria to grow in the stuffing and even though cooked it will make you sick, always stuff and cook immediately.

    NEVER thaw turkey at room temperature. Harmful bacteria will grow rapidly creating toxins that may still be present after the turkey is cooked. Frozen turkey that has been thawed should not be frozen again until after the meat is cooked in order to reduce the risk of harmful bacterial growth. Stuffing is a source of potential bacteria during cooking. It is suggested that cooking the dressing in a separate container is safer than stuffing the turkey and cooking it within the turkey. A frozen pre-stuffed turkey should not be thawed before it is cooked because bacteria can multiply rapidly in the stuffing while the turkey is defrosting.

    The Grandmommie Cake

    In celebration of my birthday, and the upcoming Thanksgiving, here is the cake recipe from my grandmommie.  It is THE BEST CAKE ever!

    In case anyone feels like baking:

    Set oven to 350 degrees.

    Grease two 9-inch cake pans and sift two cups flour.

    Cream 1 cup butter and 2 1/2 cups sugar for at least 10 minutes.

    Add 5 whole eggs and 2 teaspoons vanilla.

    Melt 5 1/2 squares baking chocolate in large double boiler.

    Dissolve 1 teaspoon baking soda and 1 teaspoon salt in 1 teaspoon hot water and add to chocolate.

    Add 1 cup buttermilk and the chocolate mixture will rise until doubled.

    Quickly combine the chocolate and sugar mixture and the 2 cups flour.

    Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.

    Cool, then frost:

    Cream until fluffy 1/3 cup soft butter, pinch of salt, and 1 cup powdered sugar. Add 1 egg, 2 cups powdered sugar, 2 1/2 squares melted baking chocolate and 2 to 4 tablespoons milk (enough to make smooth consistency)

    Na proslavi mog rođendana i predstojećeg Dana zahvalnosti, evo recepta za tortu od moje bake. To je NAJBOLJA TORTA ikad!

    U slučaju da neko želi da peče:

    Podesite rernu na 350 stepeni.

    Podmažite dva kalupa za torte od 9 inča i prosijte dve šolje brašna.

    Kremajte 1 šolju putera i 2 1/2 šolje šećera najmanje 10 minuta.

    Dodajte 5 celih jaja i 2 kašičice vanile.

    Otopite 5 1/2 kvadrata čokolade za pečenje u velikom loncu.

    Rastvorite 1 kašičicu sode bikarbone i 1 kašičicu soli u 1 kašičici vrele vode i dodajte u čokoladu.

    Dodajte 1 šolju mlaćenice i čokoladna mešavina će narasti dok se ne udvostruči.

    Brzo pomešajte mešavinu čokolade i šećera i 2 šolje brašna.

    Pecite 30 do 40 minuta.

    Ohladiti, pa smrzavati:

    Kremajte dok ne postane mekana 1/3 šolje mekog putera, prstohvat soli i 1 šolja šećera u prahu. Dodajte 1 jaje, 2 šolje šećera u prahu, 2 1/2 kvadrata otopljene čokolade za pečenje i 2 do 4 kašike mleka (dovoljno da dobijete glatku konzistenciju)

    Mini Black Bottom Cheesecake.. they look elegant !

    Ingredients

    vegetable oil spray
    24 plain chocolate wafer cookies, preferably Nabisco
    3 tablespoon(s) unsalted butter, melted
    8 ounce(s) cream cheese, at room temperature
    1/4 cup(s) sugar
    2/3 cup(s) fromage blanc (6 ounces), at room temperature
    2 large eggs
    2 teaspoon(s) pure vanilla extract
    1/4 cup(s) seedless raspberry preserves, warmed

    Directions

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a standard 12-cup muffin pan with foil baking cups and spray the cups with vegetable oil spray. In a food processor, crush the chocolate wafer cookies. Add the butter and process until fine crumbs form. Spoon the chocolate cookie crumbs into the prepared baking cups and press with the bottom of a glass to compact. Bake for 5 minutes, or until almost set. Leave the oven on.
    Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar at medium speed until smooth. Beat in the fromage blanc, then add the eggs and vanilla and beat until smooth.
    Pour the cheesecake batter into the baking cups, filling them three-quarters full.
    Bake the cheesecakes for 15 minutes, or until slightly jiggly in the center. Remove from the oven and spread 1 teaspoon of the warmed raspberry preserves on top of each cheesecake. Transfer the muffin tin to the freezer and chill the cheesecakes until set, about 15 minutes.
    Remove the cheesecakes from the pan and peel off the foil baking cups. Transfer the cheesecakes to a platter and serve. The mini black-bottom cheesecakes can be refrigerated for up to 4 days.

    Evo brzog i jednostavnog recepta koji sam pronašao

    Mini čizkejk sa crnim dnom.. izgledaju elegantno!

    Sastojci

    sprej od biljnog ulja
    24 obična čokoladna kolačića, poželjno Nabisco
    3 supene kašike neslanog putera, rastopljenog
    8 unci krem sira, na sobnoj temperaturi
    1/4 šolje šećera
    2/3 šoljice (6 unci) belog (6 unci), na sobnoj temperaturi
    2 velika jaja
    2 kašičice čistog ekstrakta vanile
    1/4 šolje(a) konzerve od maline bez semena, zagrejano

    Uputstva

    Zagrejte rernu na 350 stepeni. Obložite standardni kalup za mafine od 12 šoljica čašama za pečenje od folije i poprskajte čaše sprejom od biljnog ulja. U procesoru za hranu izgnječite čokoladne kolačiće. Dodajte puter i mešajte dok se ne formiraju sitne mrvice. Kašikom sipajte mrvice čokoladnog kolačića u pripremljene čaše za pečenje i pritisnite dnom čaše da se stisnu. Pecite 5 minuta, ili dok se skoro ne stegne. Ostavite pećnicu uključenu.
    U međuvremenu, u srednjoj posudi umutite krem sir i šećer na srednjoj brzini dok ne postane glatka. Umutite bledi odage, zatim dodajte jaja i vaniliju i umutite dok ne postane glatka.
    Sipajte testo za čizkejk u čaše za pečenje, napunite ih do tri četvrtine.

    2 cans sliced water chestnuts
    brown sugar

    Grease baking sheet and preheat oven to 400
    Cut the bacon in half.
    Place 2 waterchestnuts on a slice and roll up, securing with a toothpick.
    Place on cookie sheet. 
    Complete the entire pound of bacon.

    Cook for about 30 minutes, turning after 15.

    Sprinkle brown sugar over the top and continue baking until bacon is yummy crispy.

    Can put them in a crockpot when done to take to a function and keep wam.

    Buffalo Chicken Dip

    Yum!!! 

    Ingredients
    2 (10 ounce) cans chunk chicken, drained
    2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
    1 cup Ranch dressing
    3/4 cup pepper sauce (such as Frank's Red Hot)
    1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

    1 bunch celery, cleaned and cut into 4 inch pieces
    1 (8 ounce) box chicken-flavored crackers
    Directions
    1.Heat chicken and hot sauce in a skillet over medium heat, until heated through. Stir in cream cheese and ranch dressing. Cook, stirring until well blended and warm. Mix in half of the shredded cheese, and transfer the mixture to a slow cooker. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top, cover, and cook on Low setting until hot and bubbly. Serve with celery sticks and crackers.

    Depending on what I have on hand, I use Ranch or Blue Cheese Dressing or split between the 2.

    Love with Pretzel Chips.

    Ingredients

    1 pound bacon ( OMG I know!)
    1 cup mayonnaise
    1 cup sour cream
    1 tomato - peeled, seeded and diced

    Directions

    Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain on paper towels.
    In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise and sour cream. Crumble bacon into the sour cream and mayonnaise mixture. Mix in tomatoes just before serving.

    Serve on toasted bread cut in triangles or pita.

    Sastojci

    1 šolja majoneza
    1 šolja pavlake
    1 paradajz - oljušten, očišćen od semena i isečen na kockice

    Uputstva

    Stavite slaninu u veliki, dubok tiganj. Kuvajte na srednje jakoj vatri do ravnomerno smeđe boje. Ocediti na papirnim ubrusima.
    U srednjoj činiji pomešajte majonez i pavlaku. Slaninu izmrviti u mešavinu pavlake i majoneza. Umešajte paradajz neposredno pre serviranja.

    Poslužite na tostiranom hlebu isečenom na trouglove ili pita.

    Original Chex Mix Recipe

    Ingredients
    3 cups Corn Chex cereal
    3 cups Rice Chex cereal
    3 cups Wheat Chex cereal
    1 cup mixed nuts
    1 cup bite-size pretzels
    1 cup garlic-flavor bite-size bagel chips or regular-size bagel chips, broken into 1-inch pieces
    6 tablespoons butter or margarine
    2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
    1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt
    3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/2 teaspoon onion powder

    You HAVE to try the Buffalo Dip.  The color isn't overly appealing but the spicy taste is.... YUM!

    1/2 kašičice luka u prahu

    I'm not a drinker but this is a too die for alcoholic beverage. Had it had bunko last week.

    APPLE PIE

    1 gallon apple cider
    1 gallon apple juice
    7 cinnamon sticks
    1 bottle Everclear

    Put cider, juice and sticks in a large pot and bring to boil.  
    Reduce heat and simmer 1 hour.
    Remove from heat and let cool completly. Remove sticks.
    Add entire bottle of everclear

    Pour contents in the empty bottles and sip or drink as shots (like I do).


    Great for parties!!

    Nisam pijanica, ali ovo je previše za alkoholno piće. Da je imao bunko prošle nedelje.

    PITA S JABUKAMA

    1 galon jabukovača
    1 galon soka od jabuke
    7 štapića cimeta
    1 boca Everclear

    Stavite jabukovaču, sok i štapiće u veliki lonac i stavite da provri.
    Smanjite toplotu i kuvajte 1 sat.
    Uklonite sa vatre i ostavite da se potpuno ohladi. Uklonite štapove.
    Dodajte celu bocu evercleara

    Sipajte sadržaj u prazne boce i pijuckajte ili pijte kao šote (kao ja).


    Odlično za žurke!!

    Chewy Caramels

    Ingredients
    1 cup butter or margarine
    1 pound light brown sugar
    1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
    1 cup light corn syrup
    1 pinch salt
    1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract
    Directions
    1.In a heavy bottomed saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter, brown sugar, sweetened condensed milk, corn syrup and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Heat to between 234 and 240 degrees F (112 to 116 degrees C), or until a small amount of syrup dropped into cold water forms a soft ball that flattens when removed from the water and placed on a flat surface. Cook for 2 minutes at that temperature. Remove from the heat and stir in vanilla and almond.
    2.Meanwhile, butter a 9x13 inch baking pan. When the caramel is ready, pour into the buttered pan. Allow to cool completely at room temperature. Remove from the pan and cut into squares using scissors. Wrap individual pieces in waxed paper or cellophane.

    I line a 9X13 pan with wax paper and spray with Pam before pouring.
    I remove from pan (if it sticks, run under hot water on the wax paper side and the paper will come right off) and place the caramels on a cutting board for cutting. 

    I cut wax paper in stips about 2 inches wide and then cut those in 3rd's. Makes perfect size.

    I made 4,000 caramels last year.  Great to give teachers, neighbors, etc.

    Chevi Caramels

    Sastojci
    1 šolja putera ili margarina

    1 šolja svetlog kukuruznog sirupa
    1 prstohvat soli
    1 1/2 kašičice ekstrakta vanile
    1 1/2 kašičice ekstrakta badema
    Uputstva
    1. U šerpi sa debelim dnom na srednjoj vatri pomešajte puter, smeđi šećer, zaslađeno kondenzovano mleko, kukuruzni sirup i so. Dovedite do ključanja uz stalno mešanje. Zagrejte na između 234 i 240 stepeni F (112 do 116 stepeni C), ili dok mala količina sirupa ispuštena u hladnu vodu ne formira mekanu loptu koja se spljošti kada se izvadi iz vode i stavi na ravnu površinu. Kuvajte 2 minuta na toj temperaturi. Sklonite sa vatre i umešajte vaniliju i badem.

    Isekao sam voštani papir na štapiće širine oko 2 inča, a zatim ih isekao na 3. Pravi savršenu veličinu.

    Prošle godine sam napravio 4.000 karamela. Odlično dati učiteljima, komšijama itd.

    Pulled Pork/Beef

    Any (cheap) big cut of pork/beef.
    1 can beef broth
    1 bottle barbeque sauce

    Put beef in crock pot and add beef broth.
    Cook on high 4 hours.
    Remove and shred with 2 forks.

    Transfer to casserole dish and pour bottle of barbeque over.  Bake at 400 for about 30 minutes.

    I serve over toasted buns.  Also great with mashed potatoes.

    Soooo easy, yummy and feeds alot.

    Pulled Pork/Beef

    Bilo koji (jeftin) veliki komad svinjetine / govedine.
    1 limenka goveđeg bujona
    1 boca roštilj sosa

    Stavite govedinu u tiganj i dodajte goveđu čorbu.
    Kuvajte na visokoj temperaturi 4 sata.
    Uklonite i isecite sa 2 viljuške.

    Prebacite u tepsiju i prelijte flašom roštilja. Pecite na 400 oko 30 minuta.

    Služim preko tostiranih lepinja. Takođe odlično sa pire krompirom.

    Veoma lako, ukusno i puno hrane.

    Oriental Salad

    1 bag cabbage slaw
    2 strips green onions, chopped
    1 bag ramen noodles (oriental or chicken flavor)
    1/2 cup peanuts
    1/2 cup sunfower seeds

    Dressing
    The seasoning packet from Ramen noodles
    1/4 cup each:
    sugar
    white vinegar
    vegtable oil
    Sesame oil

    Put cabbage in a large bowl, crunch Ramen Noodles in the bag and add to cabbage.  Add remaining ingredients.

    Add dressing a bit before serving.

    I make this ALL the time and have it down to 5 minutes prep time. Total.
    Easy to double recipe

    orijentalna salata

    1 kesica kupusa
    2 trake zelenog luka, seckanog
    1 vrećica ramen rezanaca (orijentalni ili piletina)
    1/2 šolje kikirikija
    1/2 šolje semena suncokreta

    Oblačenje
    Paket začina od Ramen rezanaca
    1/4 šolje svaki:
    šećer
    Belo sirće
    biljno ulje
    susamovo ulje

    Stavite kupus u veliku činiju, hrskajte Ramen rezance u vrećici i dodajte kupusu. Dodajte preostale sastojke.

    Dodajte preliv malo pre serviranja.

    Ovo pravim SVE vreme i smanjim ga na 5 minuta za pripremu. Ukupno.

    Easy Beef Stroganoff

    Package Stew meat
    Package of lipton onion soup mix
    can cream of mushroom soup
    1 1/2 cups of dark wine, grape juice or anything dark you have in fridge/pantry.
    1 container sour cream

    Put all (but sour cream) in a crock pot and cook all day. 

    While cooking wide Egg noodles, add the sour cream to stroganoff and cook until noodles are done.

    Pour over noodles and serve with salad and rolls.

    Easi Beef Stroganoff

    Paket čorba meso
    Pakovanje mešavine lipton supe od luka
    konzerva krem supe od pečuraka
    1 1/2 šolje tamnog vina, soka od grožđa ili bilo čega tamnog što imate u frižideru / ostavi.
    1 kontejner pavlake

    Stavite sve (osim pavlake) u tiganj i kuvajte ceo dan.

    Dok kuvate široke rezance sa jajima, dodajte pavlaku u stroganof i kuvajte dok rezanci ne budu gotovi.

    Prelijte rezancima i poslužite uz salatu i rolnice.

    Garlic Spaghetti

    Box of spaghetti noodles
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 stick butter
    1/2 lb bacon
    1/4 cup olive oil.

    Make spaghetti
    Cook bacon

    In a large skillet, melt butter and minced garlic.  Add all the spaghetti and toss.  Add olive oil and stir until heated through.

    Place on a large serving dish and sprinkle bacon bits on top.

    Špageti sa belim lukom

    Kutija rezanaca za špagete
    3 čena belog luka, mleveno
    1/2 štapića putera
    1/2 lb slanine
    1/4 šolje maslinovog ulja.

    Napravite špagete
    Skuvati slaninu

    U velikom tiganju istopite puter i mleveni beli luk. Dodajte sve špagete i bacite. Dodajte maslinovo ulje i mešajte dok se ne zagreje.

    Stavite na veliku posudu za serviranje i pospite komadiće slanine.

    To make one pound bacon.  Lay in single strips on 2 cookie sheets and bake in oven at 400 for about 25 minutes, turning once half way through.

    No grease splatters and the bacon doesn't shrink.

    Easiest donuts in the world... kids love these

    Ingredients
    1 (7.5-ounce) can refrigerator biscuits
    1 cup powdered sugar
    1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
    2 tablespoons apple juice
    3 cups canola oil
    Directions
    Remove the biscuits from the can and place onto a cutting board. Using a the cap from a water bottle remove the center from each biscuit. Place both the donuts and donut holes onto a sheet pan and allow them to rest and come to temperature, about 2 minutes.

    In a  bowl combine powdered sugar, pumpkin pie spice and apple juice. Whisk together until smooth and well combined. Set aside.

    Heat the oil, in a medium pot over medium heat, to 350 degrees F.

    Fry the donuts, 4 at a time, until golden brown, about 1 minute per side. Remove from oil and place on a sheet tray lined with a paper towel. Repeat with remaining donuts and donut holes.

    Dip the top of each donut into the prepared glaze and place on a serving tray. Let glaze set about 5 minutes and serve.

    ** I buy a pack of 4 biscuits for $1.00**  That makes 40 donuts and 40 donut holes for about $1.50

    Najlakše krofne na svetu... deca ih vole

    Sastojci
    1 konzerva keksa u frižideru (7,5 unci).
    1 šolja šećera u prahu
    1/2 kašičice začina za pitu od bundeve
    2 kašike soka od jabuke
    3 šolje ulja kanole
    Uputstva
    Izvadite kekse iz konzerve i stavite ih na dasku za sečenje. Koristeći čep sa boce za vodu, uklonite sredinu sa svakog keksa. Stavite i krofne i rupice za krofne na tepsiju i ostavite ih da se odmore i zagreju, oko 2 minuta.

    U činiji pomešajte šećer u prahu, začin za pitu od bundeve i sok od jabuke. Umutite zajedno dok ne postane glatko i dobro sjedinjeno. Ostavite na stranu.

    Zagrejte ulje, u srednjem loncu na srednjoj vatri, na 350 stepeni F.

    Pržite krofne, 4 po jednu, do zlatno smeđe boje, oko 1 minut po strani. Izvadite iz ulja i stavite na pleh obložen papirnim ubrusom. Ponovite sa preostalim krofnama i rupama za krofne.

    Umočite vrh svake krofne u pripremljenu glazuru i stavite na poslužavnik. Pustite da se glazura stegne oko 5 minuta i poslužite.

    Yummy Cheesy Biscuits

    1 package of biscuits
    1/3 cup fresh Parmesan cheese
    1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
    2 TLB. garlic powder or garlic salt

    Heat oven to 400.  Grease cookie sheet.

    Put cheese and garlic in a small bowl.
    Open biscuits and smash each one around cheese until covered. Place on cookie sheet.

    Bake 8 minutes or according to biscuit package.

    Enjoy!

    Green Beans

    Bag of french cut green beans
    2 TBL. butter or margarine
    2 TBL chicken bullion granules
    2 TLB water

    In a large skillet, melt butter and water.  Add green beans and sprinkle with chicken bullion granules.  Stir until heated through and green beans are soft.

    I sprinkle with toasted almonds or Durkees French fried onions.

    Boranija

    Vreća francuskog rezanog pasulja
    2 TBL. puter ili margarin
    2 TBL pileće poluge u granulama
    2 TLB vode

    U velikom tiganju istopite puter i vodu. Dodajte boranije i pospite pilećim granulama. Mešajte dok se ne zagreje i boranija ne omekša.

    Pospim tostiranim bademima ili Durkees prženim lukom.
